OUR VISION
The raison d’etre for CMJ is about the ‘restoration’ of Israel. The primary meaning of restoration in this context is the restoration of the relationship between the Jewish people and their Messiah. A secondary aspect is the return of these people to a safe homeland after 2000 years of persecution. Both of these perspectives beg the question as to whether the hope of Israel (for Jews) denies the hope of Ishmael (for Arabs). Not only are these apparently conflicting aspirations reconciled but they actually complement one another in the plan and purposes of God. This world view finds its fulfillment in the ‘one new man’ to be found in Ephesians 2:15. Both Jewish believer and Arab Christian find true peace in Yeshua HaMashiach.
To encourage all people (Jewish and Gentile) to enter into a personal covenant relationship with God through Yeshua (Jesus), the mediator of the new covenant as foretold in Jeremiah 31:31-34;
To encourage all people to recognize the promise of God to national Israel as revealed in the unconditional covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3 cf Romans 11).
To this end, our mission has now become:
1. To support like-minded ministries and individuals in Israel such as CMJ Israel and Ps Howard Bass in their encouragement and education of people, promoting at least one tour or visit from Australians per year,
2. To work with like-minded ministries and individuals in Australia such as Kelvin Crombie, Hatikvah Foundation, Celebrate Messiah, Good News for Israel and Jews for Jesus for the same purpose, facilitating at least one educational event / teaching seminar per year.
CURRENT GOALS
CMJ Australia is currently hosting Christine Sakakibara from Israel (see ‘Latest News’) and leading a tour of Israel (see ‘Shoresh Tours’ under ‘About CMJ’).
